F.F.R.F. / A.F.S. meeting

This month one of our members, Freya Harris, will be doing a talk on the “Knowledge Ark” Project. This will be about how we can all help to preserve the accumulated knowledge of Humanity. In our world today their are numerous information storage & retrieval systems. Many of them are not compatible with the others. Formats and system architecture are constantly changing and this has lead to some serious loss of information. Just think about old photos, 8 MM movie film, VHS video cassettes, floppy disc, hard drives, books, magazines & other print media. We need to try to collect & preserve what we can so it will not be lost to future generations. Please come & learn and share any idea you may have.

We will then followed with a discussion and Q & A on the subject. Some brief announcements about our activities, future meetings & local issues will follow.
This will be a joint meeting with the Freedom From Religion Foundation – Georgia.

FFRF will provide hot chocolate, coffee & soft drinks. Please bring snacks (chips & dip, cookies appetizers) & your favorite beverage. Doors open @ 6 PM so come early to socialize with like minded people!

All events are free & open to the public.
