FFRF/AFS presents “The Founding Myth: Why Christian Nationalism is Un-American”

Please join us at Atlanta Freethought Hall on Thursday, May 23 from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. for an informative talk by Andrew Seidel, a constitutional attorney for the Freedom From Religion Foundation, on his new book “The Founding Myth: Why Christian Nationalism is Un-American.”

The book features a foreword by author Susan Jacoby and a preface by FFRF Co-President Dan Barker. It will come out in May with positive reviews by many including renowned constitutional scholar Erwin Chemerinsky who describes it as “A beautifully written book” that “explodes a frequently expressed myth: that the United States was created as a Christian nation.”

Andrew Seidel is the Director of Strategic Response at FFRF, where he uses his law degree to challenge religious bullies. He graduated cum laude from Tulane University (04) with a B.S. in Neuroscience and environmental science and magna cum laude from Tulane University Law school (09). He studied human rights and international law at the University of Amsterdam. He completed his Master of Laws at Denver Law with a perfect GPA.

When not fighting for the First Amendment and Freedom From Religion Foundation, Andrew writes for ThinkProgress, Religion News Service, Rewire News and Freethought Now!
